Kumiko Hirose

Japanese native Kumiko Hirose launched her career in 2001 after studying makeup at the prestigious Nagoya Mode Institute. In 2004, Kimiko grew restless and set her sights, and ambition, on New York City - the leading fashion and beauty capital. Without delay, Kumiko quickly began working on numerous major New York collections, assisting the likes of Tom Pecheux, Gucci Westman, James Kaliardos, Aaron de May, Lucia Pieroni and many other famed artists.

From 2006 to 2008, Kumiko was First Assistant to renowned makeup artists, Peter Philips, working on high-fashion editorials, ad campaigns and shows. Her work has appeared in American, French and Italian Vogue, W Magazine, Another Magazine, as well as for the Maison’s of Chanel, Estee Lauder, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Max Mara and Oscar De La Renta.

With her unique viewpoint, Kimiko pursues her original version of beauty and consistently produces high caliber, creative work.
